어떤 집이든 그것을 지은 이가 있습니다. 그런데 만물을 지으신 분은 하느님이십니다.

▶ Every house is founded by someone, but the founder of all is God.
|

모세는 하느님께서 장차 말씀하시려는 것을 증언하려고, “종”으로서 “그분의 온 집안을 충실히 맡고 있었습니다.”

▶ Moses was "faithful in all his house" as a "servant" to testify to what would be spoken,

그러나 그리스도께서는 그분의 집안을 맡은 아드님으로서 충실하신 분이십니다. 우리가 그분의 집안입니다. 우리의 희망에 대하여 확신과 긍지를 굳게 지니는 한 그렇습니다.

마음을 완고하게 갖지 마라, 광야에서 시험하던 날처럼 반항하던 때처럼.

▶ 'Harden not your hearts as at the rebellion in the day of testing in the desert,

거기에서 너희 조상들은 내가 한 일을 보고서도 나를 떠보며 시험하였다.

▶ where your ancestors tested and tried me and saw my works
|

|
사십 년 동안 그리하였다. 그래서 나는 그 세대에게 화가 나 말하였다. ‘언제나 마음이 빗나간 자들, 그들은 내 길을 깨닫지 못하였다.’

▶ for forty years. Because of this I was provoked with that generation and I said, "They have always been of erring heart, and they do not know my ways."

“오늘”이라는 말이 들리는 한 여러분은 날마다 서로 격려하여, 죄의 속임수에 넘어가 완고해지는 사람이 하나도 없도록 하십시오.

▶ Encourage yourselves daily while it is still "today," so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin.

듣고도 반항한 자들은 누구였습니까? 모두 모세의 인도를 받아 이집트에서 빠져나온 그 사람들이 아닙니까?

또 하느님께서는 사십 년 동안 누구에게 화가 나셨습니까? 죄를 지은 사람들, 시체가 되어 광야에 쓰러진 그 사람들이 아닙니까?

▶ With whom was he "provoked for forty years"? Was it not those who had sinned, whose corpses fell in the desert?

또 하느님께서는 누구에게 당신의 안식처에 들어가지 못하리라고 맹세하셨습니까? 순종하지 않은 그 사람들이 아닙니까?
