▶ "Order the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning regularly.

|
아론에게 말하여, 그것을 만남의 천막 안 증언 궤의 휘장 밖에 차려 놓아, 저녁부터 아침까지 주님 앞에 늘 켜 두게 하여라. 이는 너희가 대대로 지켜야 하는 영원한 규칙이다.

▶ In the meeting tent, outside the veil that hangs in front of the commandments, Aaron shall set up the lamps to burn before the LORD regularly, from evening till morning. Thus, by a perpetual statute for you and your descendants,

▶ These you shall place in two piles, six in each pile, on the pure gold table before the LORD.

▶ On each pile put some pure frankincense, which shall serve as an oblation to the LORD, a token offering for the bread.

▶ Regularly on each sabbath day this bread shall be set out afresh before the LORD, offered on the part of the Israelites by an everlasting agreement.

▶ Among the Israelites there was a man born of an Israelite mother (Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan) and an Egyptian father.

이 이스라엘 여자의 아들이 주님의 이름을 모독하면서 저주하였다. 그래서 사람들이 그를 끌고 모세에게 왔다. 그 어머니의 이름은 슬로밋인데, 단 지파에 속하는 디브리의 딸이었다.

▶ This man quarreled publicly with another Israelite and cursed and blasphemed the LORD'S name. So the people brought him to Moses,

사람들은 주님의 분부에 따라 결정을 내리려고 그를 가두어 두었다.

▶ who kept him in custody till a decision from the LORD should settle the case for them.

|
그러자 주님께서 모세에게 이르셨다.

“저주한 그자를 진영 밖으로 끌고 가서, 그가 저주하는 것을 들은 이들이 모두 그의 머리에 손을 얹게 한 다음, 온 공동체가 그에게 돌을 던지게 하여라.

▶ "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him.
|

|
그리고 너는 이스라엘 자손들에게 일러라. ‘누구든지 자기 하느님을 저주할 경우, 그 죗값을 져야 한다.

▶ Tell the Israelites: Anyone who curses his God shall bear the penalty of his sin;
|
|

|
주님의 이름을 모독한 자는 사형을 받아야 한다. 온 공동체가 그에게 돌을 던져야 한다. 이방인이든 본토인이든 주님의 이름을 모독하면 사형을 받아야 한다.’

▶ whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death. The whole community shall stone him; alien and native alike must be put to death for blaspheming the LORD'S name.

|
‘누구든지 사람을 때려 목숨을 잃게 한 자는 사형을 받아야 한다.

▶ "Whoever takes the life of any human being shall be put to death;
|
|

|
또 짐승을 때려 목숨을 잃게 한 자는 그것을 보상해야 한다. 목숨은 목숨으로 갚는다.

▶ whoever takes the life of an animal shall make restitution of another animal. A life for a life!

19
|
동족에게 상해를 입힌 사람은 자기가 한 대로 되받아야 한다.

▶ Anyone who inflicts an injury on his neighbor shall receive the same in return.
|
|
20
|
골절은 골절로, 눈은 눈으로, 이는 이로 갚는다. 다른 사람에게 상해를 입힌 대로 자신도 상해를 입어야 한다.

▶ Limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth! The same injury that a man gives another shall be inflicted on him in return.

짐승을 때려 죽인 자는 그것을 보상해야 한다. 사람을 때려 죽인 자는 사형을 받아야 한다.

|
모세가 이스라엘 자손들에게 이렇게 이르자, 저주한 그자를 사람들이 진영 밖으로 끌고 가서, 그에게 돌을 던졌다. 이렇게 이스라엘 자손들은 주님께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 하였다.
