“너는 은 나팔을 두 개 만들어라. 은을 두드려서 만들어야 한다. 그래서 공동체를 불러 모으거나 진영을 출발시킬 때에 그것을 써라.

▶ "Make two trumpets of beaten silver, which you shall use in assembling the community and in breaking camp.
|
|

|
두 개를 같이 불면, 온 공동체가 만남의 천막 어귀로 너에게 모여 오고,

|
|
|
|
▶ When both are blown, the whole community shall gather round you at the entrance of the meeting tent;
|
|

|
하나만 불면, 수장들 곧 이스라엘 부족의 우두머리들이 너에게 모여 오게 하여라.

|
|
|
|
|
▶ but when one of them is blown, only the princes, the chiefs of the troops of Israel, shall gather round you.
|

|
너희가 비상 나팔을 불면 동쪽에 진을 친 진영들이 출발하고,

▶ When you sound the first alarm, those encamped on the east side shall set out;
|
|

|
두 번째 비상 나팔을 불면 남쪽에 진을 친 진영들이 출발한다. 출발할 때마다 이렇게 비상 나팔을 불게 하여라.

|
▶ when you sound the second alarm, those encamped on the south side shall set out; when you sound the third alarm, those encamped on the west side shall set out; when you sound the fourth alarm, those encamped on the north side shall set out. Thus shall the alarm be sounded for them to depart.

집회를 소집할 때에는 그냥 나팔을 불고 비상 나팔을 불지 않는다.

▶ But in calling forth an assembly you are to blow an ordinary blast, without sounding the alarm.

▶ "It is the sons of Aaron, the priests, who shall blow the trumpets; and the use of them is prescribed by perpetual statute for you and your descendants.

너희 땅에서 너희에게 맞서는 적과 싸우러 나갈 때에는 비상 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 주 너희 하느님이 너희를 기억하여, 너희 원수들에게서 너희를 구해 줄 것이다.

▶ When in your own land you go to war against an enemy that is attacking you, you shall sound the alarm on the trumpets, and the LORD, your God, will remember you and save you from your foes.

또 너희의 잔칫날과 축일과 매달 초하룻날에, 너희는 번제물과 친교 제물을 올리면서 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 너희 하느님이 너희를 기억할 것이다. 나는 주 너희 하느님이다.”

▶ On your days of celebration, your festivals, and your new-moon feasts, you shall blow the trumpets over your holocausts and your peace offerings; this will serve as a reminder of you before your God. I, the LORD, am your God."

그러자 이스라엘 자손들은 시나이 광야를 떠나 차츰차츰 자리를 옮겨 갔다. 그 뒤에 구름은 파란 광야에 이르러 내려앉았다.

▶ Moses said to his brother-in-law Hobab, son of Reuel the Midianite, "We are setting out for the place which the LORD has promised to give us. Come with us, and we will be generous toward you, for the LORD has promised prosperity to Israel."

호밥이 그에게 말하였다. “나는 가지 않겠네. 내 고향, 내 친족들에게로 돌아가야겠네.”

▶ But he answered, "No, I will not come. I am going instead to my own country and to my own kindred."

▶ Moses said, "Please, do not leave us; you know where we can camp in the desert, and you will serve as eyes for us.

▶ They moved on from the mountain of the LORD, a three days' journey, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD which was to seek out their resting place went the three days' journey with them.

▶ Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say, "Arise, O LORD, that your enemies may be scattered, and those who hate you may flee before you."

▶ And when it came to rest, he would say, "Return, O LORD, you who ride upon the clouds, to the troops of Israel."
