주님께서 모세에게 이르셨다.

▶ The LORD said to Moses,
|
|

|
“너는 이스라엘 자손들에게 명령하여라. 그들에게 이렇게 말하여라. ‘너희가 가나안 땅에 들어가면, 그것이 너희에게 상속 재산으로 돌아갈 땅이 된다. 곧 다음과 같이 경계가 정해진 가나안 땅이다.

▶ "Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage - the land of Canaan with its boundaries:

남쪽은 친 광야에서부터 에돔 땅을 따라간다. 그러므로 너희의 남쪽 경계는 ′소금 바다′ 동쪽 끝에서 시작된다.

▶ "Your southern boundary shall be at the desert of Zin along the border of Edom; on the east it shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea,

너희의 이 경계는 ′아크라삠 오르막′ 남쪽을 돌아 친 광야를 지나서, 그 끝이 카데스 바르네아 남쪽에 이른다. 거기에서 하차르 아따르로 나가 아츠몬을 지난다.

▶ and turning south of the Akrabbim Pass, it shall cross Zin, and extend south of Kadesh-barnea to Hazar-addar; thence it shall cross to Azmon,

그 경계는 다시 아츠몬에서 ′이집트 마른내′ 쪽으로 돌아, 그 끝이 바다에 이른다.

▶ and turning from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt, shall terminate at the Sea.

|
서쪽 경계는 큰 바다와 그 해변이다. 이것이 너희의 서쪽 경계다.

▶ "For your western boundary you shall have the Great Sea with its coast; this shall be your western boundary.

▶ The following shall be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor,

|
또 호르 산에서 하맛 어귀까지 선을 긋고, 이 경계선의 끝이 츠닷에 이르게 하여라.

▶ and shall continue it from Mount Hor to Labo in the land of Hamath, with the boundary extending through Zedad.

▶ Thence the boundary shall reach to Ziphron and terminate at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern boundary.

▶ "For your eastern boundary you shall draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.

▶ From Shepham the boundary shall go down to Ar-Baal, east of Ain, and descending further, shall strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;

거기에서 경계선은 다시 요르단으로 내려가, 그 끝이 ′소금 바다′에 이른다. 이것이 사방 경계가 정해진 너희 땅이 될 것이다.’”

▶ thence the boundary shall continue along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea. "This is the land that shall be yours, with the boundaries that surround it."

모세가 이스라엘 자손들에게 명령하였다. “이것이 너희가 제비를 뽑아 상속 재산으로 받을 땅, 곧 주님께서 아홉 지파와 반쪽 지파에게 주라고 명령하신 땅이다.

▶ Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: "This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and one half tribes.

르우벤 자손 지파와 가드 자손 지파는 이미 집안별로 상속 재산을 받았고, 므나쎄 반쪽 지파도 그것을 받았다.

▶ For all the ancestral houses of the tribe of Reuben, and the ancestral houses of the tribe of Gad, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage;

이 두 지파와 반쪽 지파는 예리코 앞의 요르단 건너편 해 뜨는 동쪽에서 자기들의 상속 재산을 이미 받았다.”

▶ these two and one half tribes have received their heritage on the eastern side of the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, toward the sunrise."

▶ "These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun,

|
너는 또 땅을 상속 재산으로 나누어 주도록 지파마다 수장을 한 사람씩 뽑아라.

|
|
▶ and one prince from each of the tribes whom you shall designate for this task.

|
그 사람들의 이름은 이러하다. 유다 지파에서는 여푼네의 아들 칼렙,

▶ These shall be as follows: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,

|

|

|
납탈리 자손 지파에서는 암미훗의 아들 프다엘 수장이다.”

이 사람들이 가나안 땅에서 이스라엘 자손들에게 상속 재산을 나누어 주도록 주님께서 명령하신 이들이다.

▶ These are they whom the LORD commanded to assign the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.
