▶ Hear this word, O men of Israel, that the LORD pronounces over you, over the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt:

나는 이 땅의 모든 씨족 가운데에서 너희만 알았다. 그러나 그 모든 죄를 지은 너희를 나는 벌하리라.”

▶ You alone have I favored, more than all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your crimes.

두 사람이 약속하지 않았는데도 같이 갈 수 있겠느냐?

먹이가 없는데도 사자가 숲 속에서 으르렁거리겠느냐? 잡은 것이 없는데도 힘센 사자가 굴속에서 소리를 지르겠느냐?

▶ Does a lion roar in the forest when it has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from its den unless it has seized something?

|
미끼가 없는데도 새가 땅에 있는 그물로 내려앉겠느냐? 아무것도 걸리지 않았는데 땅에서 그물이 튀어 오르겠느냐?

▶ Is a bird brought to earth by a snare when there is no lure for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground without catching anything?

성읍 안에서 뿔 나팔이 울리면 사람들이 떨지 않느냐? 성읍에 재앙이 일어나면 주님께서 내리신 것이 아니냐?

▶ If the trumpet sounds in a city, will the people not be frightened? If evil befalls a city, has not the LORD caused it?

정녕 주 하느님께서는 당신의 종 예언자들에게 당신의 비밀을 밝히지 않으시고는 아무 일도 하지 않으신다.

▶ Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets.
|

사자가 포효하는데 누가 두려워하지 않을 수 있으랴? 주 하느님께서 말씀하시는데 누가 예언하지 않을 수 있으랴?

▶ The lion roars - who will not be afraid! The Lord GOD speaks - who will not prophesy!

|

“너희는 아스돗의 성채들과 이집트 땅의 성채들에서 선포하여라. ‘너희는 사마리아의 산들 위에 모여 그 안에서 일어나는 큰 혼란과 그 속에서 벌어지는 폭행을 보아라.’

|
▶ Proclaim this in the castles of Ashdod, in the castles of the land of Egypt: "Gather about the mountain of Samaria, and see the great disorders within her, the oppression in her midst."

그들은 옳게 행동할 줄을 모른다. 주님의 말씀이다. 그들은 자기들의 성채 안에 폭력과 억압을 쌓아 올리는 자들이다.

▶ For they know not how to do what is right, says the LORD, Storing up in their castles what they have extorted and robbed.

─ 그러므로 주 하느님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. ─ 적이 이 땅을 포위하고 너의 방어벽을 허물어뜨려 너의 성채들을 약탈하리라.”

▶ Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: An enemy shall surround the land, and strip you of your strength, and pillage your castles,

주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “목자가 사자의 입에서 다리 두 개나 귀 한쪽을 빼낸다. 사마리아에 사는 이스라엘 자손들도 침상 발치와 침대 머리맡에서 그렇게 구출되리라.

▶ Thus says the LORD: As the shepherd snatches from the mouth of the lion a pair of legs or the tip of an ear of his sheep, So the Israelites who dwell in Samaria shall escape with the corner of a couch or a piece of a cot.

너희는 듣고 야곱의 집안을 거슬러 증언하여라. 만군의 하느님, 주 하느님의 말씀이다.

▶ Hear and bear witness against the house of Jacob, says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts:

내가 이스라엘의 죄를 벌하는 날 베텔의 제단들도 벌하리니 제단의 뿔들이 꺾여 땅에 떨어지리라.

▶ On the day when I punish Israel for his crimes, I will visit also the altars of Bethel: The horns of the altar shall be broken off and fall to the ground.

나는 여름 별장에다 겨울 별장까지 쳐부수리라. 상아로 꾸민 집들이 사라지고 큰 집들이 없어지리라.” 주님의 말씀이다.

▶ Then will I strike the winter house and the summer house; The ivory apartments shall be ruined, and their many rooms shall be no more, says the LORD.
