▶ The LORD said to Aaron, "You and your sons as well as the other members of your ancestral house shall be responsible for the sanctuary; but the responsibility of the priesthood shall rest on you and your sons alone.

너는 네 아버지 지파인 레위 지파에 속한 형제들도 데려오너라. 그리하여 너와 네 아들들이 증언판을 모신 천막 앞에 있을 때, 그들이 네 곁에 있으면서 시중을 들게 하여라.

▶ Bring with you also your other kinsmen of the tribe of Levi, your ancestral tribe, as your associates and assistants, while you and your sons are in front of the tent of the commandments.

▶ They shall look after your persons and the whole tent; however, they shall not come near the sacred vessels or the altar, lest both they and you die.

▶ As your associates they shall have charge of all the work connected with the meeting tent. But no layman shall come near you.

▶ You shall have charge of the sanctuary and of the altar, that wrath may not fall again upon the Israelites.

▶ "Remember, it is I who have taken your kinsmen, the Levites, from the body of the Israelites; they are a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD for the service of the meeting tent.

▶ But only you and your sons are to have charge of performing the priestly functions in whatever concerns the altar and the room within the veil. I give you the priesthood as a gift. Any layman who draws near shall be put to death."

▶ The LORD said to Aaron, "I myself have given you charge of the contributions made to me in the various sacred offerings of the Israelites; by perpetual ordinance I have assigned them to you and to your sons as your priestly share.

불에 사르지 않는 가장 거룩한 것 가운데에서 이것들이 너의 차지가 될 것이다. 곧 그들이 나에게 되돌려 주는 모든 곡식 제물과 모든 속죄 제물과 모든 보상 제물 등 그들의 모든 예물이다. 이는 가장 거룩한 것으로서 너와 네 아들들의 것이다.

▶ You shall have the right to share in the oblations that are most sacred, in whatever they offer me as cereal offerings or sin offerings or guilt offerings; these shares shall accrue to you and to your sons.

▶ In eating them you shall treat them as most sacred; every male among you may partake of them. As sacred, they belong to you.

또 이것들도 너의 차지다. 이스라엘 자손들의 선물 가운데 들어 올려 바친 예물과 흔들어 바친 모든 예물을, 내가 영원한 규정에 따라, 너와 네 아들들, 그리고 너와 함께 있는 너의 딸들에게 준다. 네 집안에 있는 사람으로 정결한 이는 모두 그것을 먹을 수 있다.

▶ "You shall also have what is removed from the gift in every wave offering of the Israelites; by perpetual ordinance I have assigned it to you and to your sons and daughters. All in your family who are clean may partake of it.

가장 좋은 햇기름과 가장 좋은 햇포도주와 곡식, 곧 그들이 주님에게 바치는 맏물을 모두 내가 너에게 준다.

▶ I have also assigned to you all the best of the new oil and of the new wine and grain that they give to the LORD as their first fruits;

▶ and likewise, of whatever grows on their land, the first products that they bring in to the LORD shall be yours; all of your family who are clean may partake of them.

|
사람이나 짐승이나 육체를 지닌 온갖 것들 가운데에서, 모태를 처음으로 열고 나와 주님에게 바쳐지는 것도 모두 너의 것이 된다. 그러나 사람의 맏아들은 대속해야 한다. 부정한 짐승의 맏배도 대속해야 한다.

▶ Every living thing that opens the womb, whether of man or of beast, such as are to be offered to the LORD, shall be yours; but you must let the first-born of man, as well as of unclean animals, be redeemed.

▶ The ransom for a boy is to be paid when he is a month old; it is fixed at five silver shekels according to the sanctuary standard, twenty gerahs to the shekel.

▶ But the first-born of cattle, sheep or goats shall not be redeemed; they are sacred. Their blood you must splash on the altar and their fat you must burn as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.

▶ Their meat, however, shall be yours, just as the breast and the right leg of the wave offering belong to you.

이스라엘 자손들이 주님에게 들어 올려 바치는 거룩한 예물들은 모두, 영원한 규정에 따라, 내가 너와 너의 아들들, 그리고 너와 함께 있는 너의 딸들에게 준다. 이는 너와 너의 후손들을 위하여 주님 앞에서 맺은 영원한 소금 계약이다.”

▶ By perpetual ordinance I have assigned to you and to your sons and daughters all the contributions from the sacred gifts which the Israelites make to the LORD; this is an inviolable covenant to last forever before the LORD, for you and for your descendants."

주님께서 아론에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 이스라엘 자손들의 땅에서 상속 재산을 가질 수 없다. 그들 사이에서 너에게 돌아갈 몫은 없다. 이스라엘 자손들 가운데에서 네가 받을 몫과 상속 재산은 바로 나다.”

▶ "To the Levites, however, I hereby assign all tithes in Israel as their heritage in recompense for the service they perform in the meeting tent.

앞으로 이스라엘 자손들은 만남의 천막 가까이 오지 못한다. 그랬다가는 그 죗값을 지고 죽을 것이다.

▶ The Israelites may no longer approach the meeting tent; else they will incur guilt deserving death.

|
만남의 천막 일은 레위인들만 하고, 자기들의 잘못에 대해서는 스스로 책임을 진다. 이는 너희가 대대로 지켜야 할 규칙이다. 그들은 이스라엘 자손들 사이에서 상속 재산을 받지 못한다.

▶ Only the Levites are to perform the service of the meeting tent, and they alone shall be held responsible; this is a perpetual ordinance for all your generations. The Levites, therefore, shall not have any heritage among the Israelites,

이스라엘 자손들이 주님에게 들어 올려 바치는 십일조를 내가 레위인들에게 재산으로 주기 때문이다. 그래서 그들은 이스라엘 자손들 가운데에서 상속 재산을 받지 못한다고 내가 말한 것이다.”

▶ "Give the Levites these instructions: When you receive from the Israelites the tithes I have assigned you from them as your heritage, you are to make a contribution from them to the LORD, a tithe of the tithes;

그것은 타작마당의 곡식과 술틀의 포도주처럼, 너희가 들어 올려 바치는 예물로 셈해질 것이다.

▶ and your contribution will be credited to you as if it were grain from the threshing floor or new wine from the press.

|

▶ Thus you too shall make a contribution from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites, handing over to Aaron the priest the part to be contributed to the LORD.

|
너희가 받는 모든 선물 가운데 일부를 주님에게 들어 올려 바치는 온전한 예물로 올려야 한다. 그 모든 것 가운데에서도 가장 좋은 것을 거룩한 예물로 올려야 한다.’

▶ From all the gifts that you receive, and from the best parts, you are to consecrate to the LORD your own full contribution.

|
너는 또 그들에게 말하여라. ‘너희가 그 가운데 가장 좋은 것을 들어 올려 바치면, 나머지는 레위인들을 위하여 타작마당의 소출과 술틀의 소출로 셈해질 것이다.

▶ "Tell them also: Once you have made your contribution from the best part, the rest of the tithes will be credited to you Levites as if it were produce of the threshing floor or of the winepress.

|
그것은 너희와 너희 집안 사람들이 아무 곳에서나 먹을 수 있다. 그것은 만남의 천막에서 너희가 하는 일의 값으로 너희가 받는 보수이다.

▶ Your families, as well as you, may eat them anywhere, since they are your recompense for service at the meeting tent.

▶ You will incur no guilt so long as you make a contribution of the best part. Do not profane the sacred gifts of the Israelites and so bring death on yourselves."
