▶ Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen; let them save you now that you are in distress."

그러나 이스라엘 자손들은 계속 주님께 아뢰었다. “저희가 죄를 지었습니다. 당신께서 보시기에 좋으실 대로 저희에게 하십시오. 그러나 오늘만은 저희를 구해 주십시오.”

▶ But the Israelites said to the LORD, "We have sinned. Do to us whatever you please. Only save us this day."

그러고는 자기들 가운데에서 낯선 신들을 치워 버리고 주님을 섬기니, 주님께서는 더 이상 이스라엘의 고통을 보고 계실 수 없었다.
