|
주님의 말씀이 나에게 내렸다.

▶ Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

“사람의 아들아, 세이르 산으로 얼굴을 돌리고 그를 거슬러 예언하여라.
|

|
|
|
|
|
▶ Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it.
|
|

|
그에게 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 보아라, 세이르 산아, 나 너를 대적하리라. 너에게 손을 뻗어 너를 황무지와 불모지로 만들리라.

▶ Say to it: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Mount Seir. I will stretch out my hand against you and make you a desolate waste.

|
내가 너의 성읍들을 폐허로 바꾸어 놓으면 너는 황무지가 되리라. 그제야 너는 내가 주님임을 알게 되리라.

▶ Your cities I will turn into ruins, and you shall be a waste; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

|
너는 옛날부터 적개심을 품고, 이스라엘 자손들이 환난을 당할 때, 그들이 마지막 벌을 받을 때, 그들을 칼날에 넘겨 버렸다.

▶ Because you never let die your hatred for the Israelites, whom you delivered over to the power of the sword at the time of their trouble, when their crimes came to an end,

주 하느님의 말이다. 그러므로 내가 살아 있는 한, 나는 정녕 너를 피투성이로 만들겠다. 피가 너를 뒤쫓을 것이다. 네가 피를 싫어하지 않았으니, 피가 너를 뒤쫓을 것이다.

▶ therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, you have been guilty of blood, and blood, I swear, shall pursue you.

|
나는 또 세이르 산을 황무지와 불모지로 만들어, 오가는 사람이 없게 하겠다.

|
|
|
|
▶ I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste, and cut off from it any traveler.
|
|

|
그 땅의 산들을 살해된 자들로 채우겠다. 네 언덕과 골짜기, 그리고 네 모든 시냇가에서는 칼로 살해된 자들이 쓰러질 것이다.

▶ With the slain I will fill your hills, your valleys, and all your ravines (in them the slain shall fall by the sword):

나는 너를 영원히 황무지로 만들겠다. 다시는 너의 성읍들에 사람이 살지 않을 것이다. 그제야 너희는 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.

▶ desolate will I make you forever, and leave your cities without inhabitants; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
|

|
너는 ′이 두 민족과 이 두 나라는 내 것이 된다. 우리가 그 땅을 차지하게 될 것이다.′ 하고 말하였다. 주님이 그곳에 있는데도 그렇게 말하였다.

▶ Because you said: The two nations and the two lands have become mine; we shall possess them - although the LORD was there -

|
주 하느님의 말이다. 그러므로 내가 살아 있는 한, 네가 미워하는 마음에서 분노와 질투로 그들을 대하였듯이 나도 같은 분노와 질투로 너를 대하겠다. 내가 이렇게 너를 심판하여 나 자신을 그들에게 드러내겠다.

▶ therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will deal with you according to your anger and your envy which you have exercised (in your hatred) against them. I will make myself known among you when I judge you,

그제야 너는 이스라엘의 산들을 두고 '그것들이 황폐해졌다. 우리에게 먹이로 주어졌다.'고 말하는 네 모든 불경한 소리를, 나 주님이 들었음을 알게 될 것이다.

▶ and you shall know that I am the LORD. I have heard all the contemptuous things you have uttered against the mountains of Israel: "They are desolate, they have been given us to devour."

|
너희가 입을 놀려 나를 거슬러 우쭐대고, 나를 거슬러 교만한 말을 늘어놓는 것을, 나는 똑똑히 들었다.

▶ I have heard the insolent and wild words you have spoken against me.
|
|

|
주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 온 세상이 즐거워하는 가운데 나는 너를 황무지로 만들겠다.

|
|
▶ Thus says the Lord GOD: Just as you rejoiced over my land because it was desolate, so will I do to you.
|
|

|
이스라엘 집안의 상속 재산이 황폐하게 되었다고 네가 기뻐한 대로, 나도 너에게 그대로 해 주겠다. 세이르 산아, 온 에돔아, 너는 황폐하게 될 것이다. 그제야 그들은 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.’”

▶ In keeping with your glee over the devastation of the inheritance of the house of Israel, so will I treat you. A waste shall you be, Mount Seir, you and the whole of Edom. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
