너희는 봄철에 비를 내려 달라고 주님께 빌어라. 주님은 비구름을 만드시는 분. 그분께서는 비를 넉넉히 주시어 사람들의 밭에 푸른 싹을 내신다.

▶ Ask of the LORD rain in the spring season! It is the LORD who makes storm clouds. And sends men the pouring rain; for everyone, grassy fields.

그러나 집안 수호신들은 헛소리를 하고 점쟁이들은 가짜 환시를 보며 거짓 꿈을 말하고 헛된 위로를 한다. 그래서 사람들은 양 떼처럼 방황하고 목자가 없어 고통을 당한다.

▶ For the teraphim speak nonsense, the diviners have false visions: Deceitful dreams they tell, empty comfort they offer. This is why they wander like sheep, wretched: they have no shepherd.

나의 분노가 목자들을 거슬러 타오른다. 나는 수령들을 벌하리라. 만군의 주님께서 당신의 양 떼 유다 집안을 찾아오시고 그들을 전쟁터의 자랑스러운 군마처럼 만드시리라.

▶ My wrath is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; For the LORD of hosts will visit his flock, the house of Judah, and make them his stately war horse.

유다 집안에서 모퉁잇돌이 나오고 천막 말뚝이 나오며 전쟁에 쓸 활이 나오고 모든 통치자가 나오리라.

▶ From him shall come leader and chief, from him warrior's bow and every officer.

그들은 모두 용사가 되어 싸움터에서 적을 길바닥의 진흙처럼 짓밟으리라. 주님께서 그들과 함께 계시기에 그들은 싸워서 말 탄 자들을 부끄럽게 하리라.

▶ They shall all be warriors, trampling the mire of the streets in battle; They shall wage war because the LORD is with them, and shall put the horsemen to rout.

나는 유다 집안을 강하게 하고 요셉 집안을 구원하리라. 나는 그들을 가엾이 여겨 돌아오게 하리니 그들은 내가 버린 적이 없는 사람들처럼 되리라. 나는 주 그들의 하느님이니 그들에게 응답하리라.

▶ I will strengthen the house of Judah, the house of Joseph I will save; I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them, they shall be as though I had never cast them off, for I am the LORD, their God, and I will hear them.

에프라임 사람들은 용사같이 되고 그들의 마음은 포도주를 마신 것처럼 기뻐하리라. 그들의 자녀들은 그것을 보고 기뻐하며 그들의 마음은 주님 안에서 즐거워하리라.

▶ Then Ephraim shall be valiant men, and their hearts shall be cheered as by wine. Their children shall see it and be glad, their hearts shall rejoice in the LORD.

내가 그들을 속량하였으니 휘파람을 불어 그들을 모아들이고 전처럼 많아지게 하리라.

▶ I will whistle for them to come together, and when I redeem them they will be as numerous as before.

내가 그들을 민족들 가운데에 흩어 버렸어도 그들은 먼 곳에서 나를 기억하고 자녀들을 낳아 기르다가 돌아오리라.

▶ I sowed them among the nations, yet in distant lands they remember me; they shall rear their children and return.

|
나는 그들을 이집트 땅에서 돌아오게 하고 아시리아에서 모아 오리라. 내가 그들을 길앗 땅과 레바논으로 데려가리니 그 땅들도 그들에게 넉넉하지 못하리라.

▶ I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them into Gilead and into Lebanon, but these shall not suffice them;

그들이 고난의 바다를 건널 때 바다의 너울은 가라앉고 나일 강의 깊은 곳도 모두 말라 버리리라. 아시리아의 교만은 꺾이고 이집트의 왕홀은 사라지리라.

▶ I will cross over to Egypt and smite the waves of the sea and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up. The pride of Assyria shall be cast down, and the scepter of Egypt taken away.

내가 주님 안에서 그들을 강하게 만들리니 그들은 그 이름을 모시고 걸으리라. 주님의 말씀이다.

▶ I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they shall walk in his name, says the LORD.
