맹세를 많이 하는 사람은 범법으로 가득 차고 징벌의 채찍이 그 집을 떠나지 않으리라. 그가 맹세를 어기면 죄악이 그와 함께 머물고 분별없이 맹세를 하면 죄가 갑절로 무거워지리라. 그가 헛맹세를 하면 의롭게 되지 못하리니 그의 집이 온갖 재앙으로 가득 찰 것이기 때문이다.
