|
지혜는 자신을 찬미하고 자신의 백성 한가운데에서 자랑하리라.

▶ Wisdom sings her own praises, before her own people she proclaims her glory;

|
지혜는 지극히 높으신 분의 모임에서 입을 열고 자신의 군대 앞에서 자랑하리라.

▶ In the assembly of the Most High she opens her mouth, in the presence of his hosts she declares her worth:

“나는 지극히 높으신 분의 입에서 나와 안개처럼 땅을 덮었다.

▶ "From the mouth of the Most High I came forth, and mistlike covered the earth.

|
나는 높은 하늘에 거처를 정하고 구름 기둥 위에 내 자리를 정했다.

▶ In the highest heavens did I dwell, my throne on a pillar of cloud.

나 홀로 하늘의 궁창을 돌아다니고 심연의 바닥을 거닐었다.

▶ The vault of heaven I compassed alone, through the deep abyss I wandered.

|
바다의 파도와 온 땅을, 온 백성과 모든 민족들을 다스렸다.

▶ Over waves of the sea, over all the land, over every people and nation I held sway.

|
나는 누구의 땅에 머물까 하고 이 모든 것 가운데에서 안식처를 찾고 있었다.

▶ Among all these I sought a resting place; in whose inheritance should I abide?

|
그때 만물의 창조주께서 내게 명령을 내리시고 나를 창조하신 분께서 내 천막을 칠 자리를 마련해 주셨다. 그분께서 말씀하셨다. ‘야곱 안에 거처를 정하고 이스라엘 안에서 상속을 받아라.’

▶ "Then the Creator of all gave me his command, and he who formed me chose the spot for my tent, Saying, 'In Jacob make your dwelling, in Israel your inheritance.'

한처음 세기가 시작하기 전에 그분께서 나를 창조하셨고 나는 영원에 이르기까지 사라지지 않으리라.

나는 거룩한 천막 안에서 그분을 섬겼으며 이렇게 시온에 자리 잡았다.

▶ In the holy tent I ministered before him, and in Zion I fixed my abode.

그분께서는 이처럼 사랑받는 도성에서 나를 쉬게 하셨다. 나의 권세는 예루살렘에 있다.

▶ Thus in the chosen city he has given me rest, in Jerusalem is my domain.

▶ I have struck root among the glorious people, in the portion of the LORD, his heritage.

나는 레바논의 향백나무처럼, 헤르몬 산에 서 있는 삼나무처럼 자랐다.

▶ Like a palm tree in En-gedi, like a rosebush in Jericho, Like a fair olive tree in the field, like a plane tree growing beside the water.

나는 향기로운 계피와 낙타가시나무처럼 값진 몰약처럼 풍자 향과 오닉스 향과 유향처럼 천막 안에서 피어오르는 향연처럼 사방에 향내를 풍겼다.

▶ Like cinnamon, or fragrant balm, or precious myrrh, I give forth perfume; Like galbanum and onycha and sweet spices, like the odor of incense in the holy place.

내가 테레빈 나무처럼 가지를 사방에 뻗으니 그 가지는 찬란하고 우아하다.

▶ I spread out my branches like a terebinth, my branches so bright and so graceful.

내가 친절을 포도 순처럼 틔우니 나의 꽃은 영광스럽고 풍성한 열매가 된다.

▶ I bud forth delights like the vine, my blossoms become fruit fair and rich.

|
나는 아름다운 사랑과 경외심의 어머니요 지식과 거룩한 희망의 어머니다. 나는 내 모든 자녀들에게, 그분께 말씀을 받은 이들에게 영원한 것들을 준다.

▶ Come to me, all you that yearn for me, and be filled with my fruits;

나에게 오너라, 나를 원하는 이들아. 와서 내 열매를 배불리 먹어라.

▶ You will remember me as sweeter than honey, better to have than the honeycomb.
|

|
나를 기억함은 꿀보다 달고 나를 차지함은 꿀송이보다 달다.

▶ He who eats of me will hunger still, he who drinks of me will thirst for more;
|
|

|
나를 먹는 이들은 더욱 배고프고 나를 마시는 이들은 더욱 목마르리라.

|
▶ He who obeys me will not be put to shame, he who serves me will never fail."
|
|
22
|
나에게 순종하는 이는 수치를 당하지 않고 나와 함께 일하는 이들은 죄를 짓지 않으리라.”

|
▶ All this is true of the book of the Most High's covenant, the law which Moses commanded us as an inheritance for the community of Jacob.

이 모든 것은 지극히 높으신 하느님의 계약의 글이고 야곱의 회중의 상속 재산으로 모세가 우리에게 제정해 준 율법이다.

주님 안에서 끊임없이 강해지고 그분께서 너희를 강하게 하시도록 그분께 매달려라. 전능하신 주님 홀로 하느님이시고 그분 말고 아무도 구원자가 될 수 없다.

▶ It runs over, like the Euphrates, with understanding, like the Jordan at harvest time.

▶ The first man never finished comprehending wisdom, nor will the last succeed in fathoming her.

▶ For deeper than the sea are her thoughts; her counsels, than the great abyss.

첫 사람도 지혜를 완전히 알 수 없었고 마지막 사람도 지혜를 완전히 깨닫지 못하리라.

▶ Now I, like a rivulet from her stream, channeling the waters into a garden,

지혜의 생각이 바다보다 풍부하고 지혜의 의견이 큰 심연보다 깊기 때문이다.

▶ Said to myself, "I will water my plants, my flower bed I will drench"; And suddenly this rivulet of mine became a river, then this stream of mine, a sea.

나로 말하면 강에서 끌어낸 운하와 같고 정원으로 이어지는 물길과 같다.

▶ Thus do I send my teachings forth shining like the dawn, to become known afar off.
|

나는 “내 동산에 물을 대고 꽃밭에 물을 주리라.” 하였다. 보라, 내 운하가 강이 되고 내 강이 바다가 되었다.

▶ Thus do I pour out instruction like prophecy and bestow it on generations to come.

나는 교훈을 새벽빛처럼 다시 밝히고 그 빛을 멀리까지 보낸다.

나는 가르침을 예언처럼 다시 쏟아 붓고 세세 대대로 그 가르침을 남겨 주리라.

|
|
|
|

|
보라, 나는 나만을 위해서가 아니라 지혜를 찾는 모든 이를 위해 애썼다는 것을 알아라.
