This message came to me from the LORD:

▶ 주님의 말씀이 나에게 내렸다.
|
|
2
|
Do not marry any woman; you shall not have sons or daughters in this place,
|

|
|
|
▶ “너는 이곳에서 아내를 얻지 말고 아들딸도 낳지 마라.
|
|
3
|
for thus says the LORD concerning the sons and daughters who will be born in this place, the mothers who will give them birth, the fathers who will beget them in this land:
|

|
|
|
▶ 이곳에서 태어난 아들딸과, 그들을 낳은 어머니들과 이 땅에서 그들을 낳아 준 아버지들을 두고 주님이 말한다.
|

|
Of deadly disease they shall die. Unlamented and unburied they will lie like dung on the ground. Sword and famine will make an end of them, and their corpses will become food for the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field.

▶ 그들은 죽을 병에 걸려 죽겠지만, 아무도 그들을 위해 곡을 해 주지도 묻어 주지도 못할 것이다. 그들은 땅 위의 거름이 될 것이다. 그들은 칼과 굶주림으로 죽어 가리니, 그들의 시체는 하늘의 새들과 땅의 짐승들 밥이 될 것이다.”

Go not into a house of mourning, the LORD continued: go not there to lament or offer sympathy. For I have withdrawn my friendship from this people, says the LORD, my kindness and my pity.

▶ 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. “너는 초상집에 들어가지 말고, 곡하러 가지도 말고, 그들에게 조의를 표하지도 마라. 내가 이 백성에게서 나의 평화를 거두고, ─ 주님의 말씀이다. ─ 자애와 자비를 거두어 버렸다.

|
They shall die, the great and the lowly, in this land, and shall go unburied and unlamented. No one will gash himself or shave his head for them.

|
▶ 이 땅에서 높은 자 낮은 자 할 것 없이 다 죽을 것이다. 그러나 그들은 묻히지도 못하고, 그들을 위해 곡을 해 주는 자도 없을 것이다. 아무도 그들을 위해 제 몸에 상처를 내거나 머리를 밀지 않을 것이다.

|
They will not break bread with the bereaved to console them in their bereavement; they will not give them the cup of consolation to drink over the death of father or mother.

▶ 아무도 죽은 이를 애도하는 상주를 위로하려고 그와 음식을 나누지 않고, 그의 아버지나 어머니를 생각해서 그에게 위로의 술잔을 건네지도 않을 것이다.

Enter not a house where people are celebrating, to sit with them eating and drinking.

▶ 너는 사람들과 앉아 먹고 마시려고 잔칫집에 들어가지 마라.

|
For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Before your very eyes and during your lifetime I will silence from this place the cry of joy and the cry of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

▶ ─ 만군의 주 이스라엘의 하느님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. ─ 이제 내가 너희 당대에 너희가 보는 앞에서 기쁜 목소리와 즐거운 목소리, 그리고 신랑 신부의 목소리를 이곳에서 그치게 하겠다.

When you proclaim all these words to this people and they ask you: "Why has the LORD pronounced all these great evils against us? What is our crime? What sin have we committed against the LORD, our God?" -

▶ 네가 이 말을 모두 이 백성에게 전하면, 그들은 너에게 ‘어찌하여 주님께서는 이렇듯 큰 재앙을 모두 우리에게 선고하셨는가? 주 우리 하느님께 우리가 저지른 죄악이 무엇이며, 우리가 지은 죄가 어떤 것이냐?’ 하고 물을 것이다.

|
you shall answer them: It is because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and followed strange gods, which they served and worshiped; but me they have forsaken, and my law they have not observed.
|

▶ 그러면 너는 그들에게 이렇게 대답하여라. ‘너희 조상들이 나를 저버렸기 때문이다. 주님의 말씀이다. 그들은 다른 신들을 따라가 그들을 섬기고 그들에게 예배하였으며, 나를 저버리고 내 법을 지키지 않았다.

|
And you have done worse than your fathers. Here you are, every one of you, walking in the hardness of his evil heart instead of listening to me.
|

▶ 그런데 너희는 너희 조상들보다 더 악하게 행동하였다. 너희는 저마다 제 악한 마음을 고집스럽게 따르면서 나에게 순종하지 않았다.
|

|
I will cast you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known; there you can serve strange gods day and night, because I will not grant you my mercy.
|

|
|
▶ 그러므로 이제 내가 너희를 이 땅에서 너희도 너희 조상들도 모르던 땅으로 내던지겠다. 너희는 그곳에서 밤낮으로 다른 신들을 섬겨야 하고, 나도 너희에게 은혜를 베풀지 않을 것이다.’”

However, days will surely come, says the LORD, when it will no longer be said, "As the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites out of Egypt";

▶ 그러나 이제 그날이 온다. 주님의 말씀이다. 그때에는 사람들이 더 이상 “이스라엘 자손들을 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라오신, 살아계신 주님을 두고 맹세한다.” 하지 않고,

but rather, "As the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites out of the land of the north and out of all the countries to which he had banished them." I will bring them back to the land which I gave their fathers.

▶ 그 대신 “이스라엘 자손들을 북쪽 땅에서, 그리고 당신께서 쫓아 보내셨던 모든 나라에서 데리고 올라오신, 살아 계신 주님을 두고 맹세한다.” 할 것이다. 정녕 내가 그들의 조상들에게 준 땅으로 그들을 돌아오게 하겠다.

Look! I will send many fishermen, says the LORD, to catch them. After that, I will send many hunters to hunt them out from every mountain and hill and from the clefts of the rocks.

▶ 이제 내가 많은 어부들을 보내어 그들을 잡아 올리겠다. 주님의 말씀이다. 그런 다음 많은 사냥꾼들을 보내어 모든 산과 모든 언덕과 바위틈을 뒤져 그들을 잡아내겠다.

For my eyes are upon all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor does their guilt escape my view.

▶ 내 눈이 그들의 모든 길을 살피고 있으니, 그들은 내 앞에서 숨지 못하고 자기들의 죄악을 내 눈앞에서 감추지도 못한다.

I will at once repay them double for their crime and their sin of profaning my land with their detestable corpses of idols, and filling my heritage with their abominations.
|

▶ 나는 우선 그들의 죄악과 잘못을 갑절로 갚겠다. 그들이 송장이나 다름없는 자신들의 혐오스러운 것들로 내 땅을 더럽히고, 자신들의 역겨운 것들로 내 소유지를 채웠기 때문이다.

▶ 재난의 날에 제 힘이시요 요새이며 피난처이신 주님 민족들이 땅 끝에서 모여 와 당신께 말씀드릴 것입니다. “저희 조상들은 정녕 쓸모없는 헛것만 물려주었습니다.”

Can man make for himself gods? These are not gods.

▶ 사람이 스스로 신들을 만들어 낼 수 있습니까? 그런 것들은 신이 아닙니다.

Look, then: I will give them knowledge; this time I will leave them in no doubt Of my strength and my power: they shall know that my name is LORD.

▶ 그러므로 이제 내가 그들에게 알려 주리라. 이번에는 내 능력과 권세를 그들이 알게 해 주리라. 그리하면 그들은 내 이름이 야훼임을 깨닫게 되리라.
