|
Now, son of man, prophesy against Gog in these words: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

▶ “너 사람의 아들아, 곡을 거슬러 예언하여라. 너는 말하여라. ‘주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 메섹과 투발의 으뜸 제후 곡아, 나 이제 너를 대적하겠다.

|
I will turn you about, I will urge you on, and I will make you come up from the recesses of the north; I will lead you against the mountains of Israel.

|
▶ 나는 너를 돌려세워 이끌어 내고, 너를 북쪽 끝에서 올라오게 하여 이스라엘 산악 지방으로 끌어들이겠다.

Then I will strike the bow from your left hand, and make the arrows drop from your right.
|

▶ 그런 다음 내가 네 왼손의 활을 내려치고 네 오른손의 화살을 떨어뜨리겠다.

|
Upon the mountains of Israel you shall fall, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you. To birds of prey of every kind and to the wild beasts I am giving you to be eaten.

▶ 너는 너의 온 부대와, 너와 함께 있는 민족들과 더불어 이스라엘 산악 지방에서 쓰러질 것이다. 나는 온갖 날개가 달린 맹금들과 들짐승들에게 너를 먹이로 내주겠다.

On the open field you shall fall, for I have decreed it, says the Lord GOD.

▶ 너는 이렇게 들판에 쓰러지리니, 내가 그렇게 말하였기 때문이다. 주 하느님의 말이다.

|
I will send fire upon Magog and upon those who live securely in the coastlands; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
|

|
▶ 나는 또 마곡과 여러 섬에서 평안히 사는 주민들에게 불을 보내겠다. 그제야 그들은 내가 주님임을 알게 될 것이다.

|
I will make my holy name known among my people Israel; I will no longer allow my holy name to be profaned. Thus the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
|

|
▶ 나는 내 백성 이스라엘 한가운데에서 나의 거룩한 이름을 드러내어, 다시는 나의 거룩한 이름이 더럽혀지지 않게 하겠다. 그제야 민족들은 내가 주님임을, 이스라엘에 있는 거룩한 이라는 것을 알게 될 것이다.

Yes, it is coming and shall be fulfilled, says the Lord GOD. This is the day I have decreed.

▶ 보아라, 그대로 이루어진다. 그대로 되어 간다. 주 하느님의 말이다. 그날이 바로 내가 말한 날이다.

|
Then shall those who live in the cities of Israel go out and burn weapons: (shields and bucklers,) bows and arrows, clubs and lances; for seven years they shall make fires with them.
|

|
|
▶ 그때에 이스라엘의 성읍마다 주민들이 나가서 무기들, 곧 작은 방패와 큰 방패, 활과 화살, 몽둥이와 창에 불을 지펴 태울 것이다. 그것들을 일곱 해나 태울 것이다.

|
They shall not have to bring in wood from the fields or cut it down in the forests, for they shall make fires with the weapons. Thus they shall plunder those who plundered them and pillage those who pillaged them, says the Lord GOD.

▶ 그들은 나무를 들에서 주워 오지도, 숲에서 베어 오지도 않을 것이다. 무기로 불을 지필 것이다. 그들은 또 자기들을 약탈한 자들을 약탈하고, 자기들을 노략한 자들을 노략할 것이다. 주 하느님의 말이다.’

|
On that day I will give Gog for his tomb a well-known place in Israel, the Valley of Abarim east of the sea (it is blocked to travelers). Gog shall be buried there with all his horde, and it shall be named "Valley of Hamon-gog."

▶ 그날 나는 이스라엘 땅에 무덤 자리 하나를 곡에게 내주겠다. 사해 동쪽에 있는 것으로 여행자들의 길을 막고 있는 '아바림 골짜기'다. 사람들이 그곳에 곡과 그의 온 무리를 묻고서는, '하몬 곡 골짜기'라고 부를 것이다.

|
To purify the land, the house of Israel shall need seven months to bury them.
|

▶ 이스라엘 집안이 자기 땅을 정결하게 하려고 그들을 묻는 데에는 일곱 달이 걸릴 것이다.

|
All the people of the land shall bury them and gain renown for it, when I reveal my glory, says the Lord GOD.
|

|
|
▶ 이 땅의 온 백성이 그들을 묻을 것이다. 이렇게 하여 내가 나의 영광을 드러내는 그날에, 이 일이 그들에게 영예가 될 것이다. 주 하느님의 말이다.

|
Men shall be permanently employed to pass through the land burying those who lie unburied, so as to purify the land. For seven months they shall keep searching.
|

|
|
▶ 또 이 땅을 계속 돌아다니면서 땅바닥에 남아 있는 것을 묻어 이 땅을 정결하게 할 사람들이 뽑힐 터인데, 그들은 일곱 달이 지난 다음에 찾아다니기 시작할 것이다.

|
When they pass through, should they see a human bone, let them put up a marker beside it, until others have buried it in the Valley of Hamon-gog.

▶ 그들이 돌아다니다가 누구라도 사람의 뼈를 보게 될 경우, 그 옆에 푯돌을 세워 두면, 장사 지내는 이들이 그것을 '하몬 곡 골짜기'에 묻을 것이다.

(Also the name of the city shall be Hamonah.) Thus the land shall be purified.

|
|
▶ 그리하여 하모나라는 이름의 성읍도 생길 것이다. 이렇게 하여 그들은 이 땅을 정결하게 할 것이다.

|
As for you, son of man, says the Lord GOD, say to birds of every kind and to all the wild beasts: Come together, from all sides gather for the slaughter I am about to provide for you, a great slaughter on the mountains of Israel: you shall have flesh to eat and blood to drink.

▶ 너 사람의 아들아, 주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 온갖 날개가 달린 새들과 모든 들짐승에게 말하여라. ‘모여 와라. 내가 너희를 위하여 마련하는 희생 제물 잔치, 이스라엘 산악 지방에서 벌이는 큰 희생 제물 잔치에 사방에서 모여들어, 고기를 먹고 피를 마셔라.

|
You shall eat the flesh of warriors and drink the blood of the princes of the land (rams, lambs, and goats, bullocks, fatlings of Bashan, all of them).

▶ 너희는 용사들의 살을 먹고 세상 제후들의 피를 마실 것이다. 그들은 숫양과 어린 양, 숫염소와 송아지, 모두 바산의 살진 짐승이다.

From the slaughter which I will provide for you, you shall eat fat until you are filled and drink blood until you are drunk.

|
You shall be filled at my table with horses and riders, with warriors and soldiers of every kind, says the Lord GOD.

▶ 내 식탁에서 너희는 말과 기병과 용사와 모든 전사를 배불리 먹을 것이다. 주 하느님의 말이다.’”

Thus I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see the judgment I have executed and the hand I have laid upon them.

From that day forward the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD, their God.

▶ 그러면 그날부터 이스라엘 집안은 내가 주 그들의 하느님임을 알게 될 것이다.

|
The nations shall know that because of its sins the house of Israel went into exile; for they transgressed against me, and I hid my face from them and handed them over to their foes, so that all of them fell by the sword.
|

|
▶ 또한 민족들은 이스라엘 집안이 그 자신의 죄 때문에, 나를 배신하였기 때문에 유배 갔음을 알게 될 것이다. 그래서 나는 그들에게서 내 얼굴을 감추고 그들을 적들의 손에 넘겨, 모두 칼에 맞아 쓰러지게 하였다.

|
According to their uncleanness and their transgressions I dealt with them, hiding my face from them.

▶ 그들의 부정과 그들의 죄악에 따라 그들을 다루고, 그들에게서 내 얼굴을 감추어 버린 것이다.

|
Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have pity on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.

▶ 그러므로 주 하느님이 이렇게 말한다. 이제 나는 야곱의 운명을 되돌리겠다. 온 이스라엘 집안을 가엾이 여기고 나의 거룩한 이름을 위하여 열정을 쏟겠다.

|
They shall forget their disgrace and all the times they broke faith with me, when they live in security on their land with no one to frighten them.
|

▶ 그리하여 그들은 저희 땅에서 평안히 살고, 아무도 그들을 놀라게 하지 않을 것이다. 그러면 그들은 자기들의 수치와 나에게 저지른 모든 배신을 잊게 될 것이다.

|
When I bring them back from among the peoples, I will gather them from the lands of their enemies, and will prove my holiness through them in the sight of many nations.
|

▶ 그들을 민족들에게서 도로 데려오고 원수들의 땅에서 모아 와, 많은 민족들이 보는 앞에서 그들을 통하여 나의 거룩함을 드러내겠다.

|
Thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God, since I who exiled them among the nations, will gather them back on their land, not leaving any of them behind.

▶ 내가 이렇게 그들을 민족들에게 유배 보냈다가, 그들을 하나도 남기지 않고 그들의 땅으로 다시 모아들이면, 그제야 그들은 내가 주 그들의 하느님임을 알게 될 것이다.

|
No longer will I hide my face from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.
