|
Again I raised my eyes and saw four chariots coming out from between two mountains; and the mountains were of bronze.

▶ 내가 다시 눈을 들어 보니, 두 산 사이에서 병거 넉 대가 나오고 있었다. 그 산들은 청동 산이었다.

The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot black horses,
|

|
▶ 첫째 병거는 붉은 말들이, 둘째 병거는 검은 말들이 끌고,
|
|

|
the third chariot white horses, and the fourth chariot spotted horses - all of them strong horses.
|

|
▶ 셋째 병거는 흰말들이, 넷째 병거는 점박이 말들이 끌고 있었다. 모두 건장한 말들이었다.

I asked the angel who spoke with me, "What are these, my lord?"

▶ 내가 나와 이야기하던 천사에게, “나리, 저것들은 무엇입니까?” 하고 물었다.

The angel said to me in reply, "These are the four winds of the heavens, which are coming forth after being reviewed by the LORD of all the earth."

▶ 그러자 천사가 나에게 대답하였다. “이것들은 온 세상의 주님을 뵙고 나서 이제 길을 나서는 하늘의 네 바람이다.

The chariot with the black horses was turning toward the land of the north, the red and the white horses went after them, and the spotted ones went toward the land of the south.

▶ 검은 말들이 끄는 병거는 북쪽 땅으로 떠나고, 흰말들이 끄는 병거는 서쪽 땅으로 떠나고, 점박이 말들이 끄는 병거는 남쪽으로 떠날 것이다.”

As these strong horses emerged, eager to set about patrolling the earth, he said, "Go, patrol the earth!" Then, as they patrolled the earth,

▶ 건장한 말들이 그곳을 떠나 세상을 두루 돌아다니고 싶어 하자, 그 천사가 말하였다. “가서 세상을 두루 돌아다녀라.” 그리하여 병거들은 세상을 두루 돌아다녔다.

he called out to me and said, "See, they that go forth to the land of the north will make my spirit rest in the land of the north."

▶ 천사가 나에게 소리쳐 말하였다. “보아라, 북쪽 땅으로 떠난 말들이 나의 영을 북쪽 땅에 편안히 자리 잡게 하였다.”

This word of the LORD then came to me:

Take from the returned captives Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah; and go the same day to the house of Josiah, son of Zephaniah (these had come from Babylon).

▶ “너는 유배자들, 곧 헬다이와 토비야와 여다야에게서 예물을 받아라. 그들이 바빌론에서 돌아와 스바니야의 아들 요시야의 집에 있으니, 오늘로 그곳에 가거라.

Silver and gold you shall take, and make a crown; place it on the head of (Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest) Zerubbabel.

▶ 너는 은과 금을 받아 왕관을 만들어, 여호차닥의 아들 예수아 대사제의 머리에 씌우고,

And say to him: Thus says the LORD of hosts: Here is a man whose name is Shoot, and where he is he shall sprout, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.

▶ 그에게 말하여라. ‘만군의 주님이 이렇게 말한다. 이 사람을 보아라. 그의 이름은 ′새싹′이니 그가 제자리에서 돋아 나와 주님의 성전을 지으리라.

Yes, he shall build the temple of the LORD, and taking up the royal insignia, he shall sit as ruler upon his throne. The priest shall be put at his right hand, and between the two of them there shall be friendly understanding.

▶ 그가 주님의 성전을 지을 것이며 바로 그가 엄위를 갖추고 자기 왕좌에 앉아 다스리리라. 그의 왕좌 곁에는 한 사제가 있을 터인데 그 두 사람은 평화롭게 조화를 이루리라.’

The crown itself shall be a memorial offering in the temple of the LORD in favor of Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and the son of Zephaniah.

▶ 그 왕관은 헬다이, 토비야, 여다야, 스바니야의 아들 요시야를 기념하여 주님의 성전에 두어라.”

|
And they who are from afar shall come and build the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And if you heed carefully the voice of the LORD your God. . . .
|

|
▶ 또한 먼 곳에 사는 사람들이 와서, 주님의 성전을 함께 지을 것이다. 그러면 너희는 만군의 주님께서 나를 너희에게 보내셨음을 알게 될 것이다. 너희가 주 너희 하느님의 말씀을 잘 들으면 이 일이 이루어질 것이다.
